Carleen's Story

Danville, NH — Carleen A. (Rhoadhouse) Knowlton, 80, of Danville and formerly of Hampstead, died on July 7, 2014, at her home.

She was the daughter of the late Carl Rhoadhouse and Avis (Percival) (Rhoadhouse) Curry.

An avid reader and bowler, she was a member of a bowling league in Salem, N.H., and was an accomplished cook. In her later years, she had an interest in antique dolls and worked in many antique shops in the Plaistow area. She also enjoyed working at the Emerson Greenhouse in Hampstead.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Walter A. Knowlton; a daughter and son-in-law, Kim D. and Michael LeClair of Hampstead; and a son, Jeffrey A. Knowlton of Windham.

ARRANGEMENTS: A private funeral service will be held at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Route 121A, Plaistow, N.H. Memorial donations may be made to the Rockingham VNA and Hospice, 137 Epping Road, Exeter, NH 03833.
