Brentwood, NH - Carol M. Duchemin, 77, of Brentwood, NH, passed away on February 26, 2020, at her home.
She was born in White Plains, NY on November 24, 1942, daughter of the late Edward W. Kohlauff. Carol grew up in Scarsdale, N.Y. where she attended school. In her early 20s she moved to Newton, N.H. and had owned and operated a house cleaning business for several years. She worked as a home health aide for Derry Visiting Nurses, n Derry, N.H. before her retirement. Carol enjoyed watching and feeding birds and had remarked that the more she saw people the more she liked her birds. She also loved reading and watching game shows. Carol was a very blunt, matter of fact person, who loved a good argument - which was usually provoked by her. She loved spaghetti, any kind of pastries, and shrimp lo mein. She hated white sauce and disliked tin foil on leftovers in the refrigerator. She will be sadly missed. Carol was predeceased by her husband, Bruce L. Duchemin in 2006. She is survived by her daughter, Tracy Haggett and husband, Dick of Brentwood, NH; two sons, Edward Duchemin of Newmarket, NH and Philip Duchemin and his partner, Cheryl of Newton, NH; one grandson, Derek Lariviere and wife Alana of Vista, Calif.; and one sister of Newton, NH.
Calling hours were held on Sunday, March 1, 2020, from 1 to 3 p.m, at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 9 Pleasant St., Epping, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to NH Audubon, Attn: Annual Fund, 84 Silk Farm Rd., Concord, NH 03301. For more information, please visit brewittfuneralhome.com.
