Ft. Gibson, OK — Catherine F. "Kitty" (Clements) Brown passed away February 17, 2013, at her home in Ft. Gibson, Okla., after a brave battle with cancer. Kitty was born in Brentwood, N.H., on April 21, 1946, to the late Chester H. Clements and Catherine F. (Morse) Clements. She was raised in Kingston, N.H., and graduated from Sanborn Seminary. She lived for many years on Plum Island, Mass. While living on Plum Island, she was a columnist and photographer for The Daily News of Newburyport, as well as a school bus driver.
In 1985, she relocated her family to Porum, Okla. In 2008, she was able to retire from her longtime career in retail management. She enjoyed her life with her longtime companion, David Archibald, in Ft. Gibson, Okla.
She is survived by her children; Sherry (Brown) Kenyon and husband, Kevin, of Newmarket, N.H., Tracy (Brown) Blair and husband, Jim, of Muskogee, Okla., Heather (Brown) Hughart and husband, Boone, of Muskogee, Okla.; step-daughter, Lynn Brown of Salem, N.H., nine grandchildren, one great grandchild. She leaves two sisters, Gail Ramsey and husband, David, of Kingston, N.H., and Jennie Gilmand and husband, Jack, of Exeter, N.H. She was preceded in death by her brother, C. Dale Clements.
ARRANGEMENTS: A memorial service and celebration of Kitty's life was held on February 21, 2013, at Cornerstone Funeral Home and Chapel in Muskogee, Okla.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to the graveside service for Kitty. The services are to be held Saturday, April 20, 2013, at the Plains Cemetery in Kingston, N.H., at 10:30 a.m. Following the service, family and friends are invited to a reception in the Rent Fellowship Hall, at the First Congregation Church of Kingston, N.H.
