Text size

SPRING HILL, FL: Charles Richard Snow (Chuck), 80, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2016. A political and news reporter at the Haverhill Gazette, he went on to work as a vocational rehabilitation specialist for over 30 years for the Commission for the Blind, Massachusetts. He earned his Bachelors of Science from Marquette University in Journalism and his Masters from Northeastern University in Rehabilitation Counseling. He furthered his studies at Boston University.

Even when retired, Chuck demonstrated his commitment to service through his volunteering. He read and helped children in the Hernando County school system. He volunteered with the jail and prison ministry, and more.

Charles was born blind, but was sighted and lived without limitations. His generous spirit, smile, huge heart, faith in God and humanity, inspired his friends, family and community.

He is survived by his wife, Maria Snow; two daughters, Marta Elena and Maria Geraldine; and brother, Ronald Snow of Plaistow, N.H.
