ANDOVER — Concetta "Tina" Marino, 84, died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010 at the Academy Manor facility in Andover, after a long illness.
She was born Feb. 16, 1926 in Villabate Palermo, Italy, daughter of the late Ambroggio and Antonina (Bonnetti) Fontana. Tina grew up in Italy. She immigrated to the United States to Middletown and Red Bank, N.J.
Tina was employed as a seamstress all of her working life. They retired to California for about eight years and moved back to the east coast in Swampscott, for several years.
Tina's husband, Dominic Marino predeceased her. In 2005, because of her failing health, Tina moved in with her son.
In her younger years, Tina loved to gamble, play slot machines and bingo, play golf, tennis and 10-pin bowling. She enjoyed her trips visiting Atlantic City.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Alex and Dawn Marino of Kensington, N.H.; two grandsons, Eric and Jordan Marino of Kensington, N.H.; several siblings in Italy and numerous nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours will be held on Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter, N.H. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, Dec. 31, 2010 at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Church, Exeter, N.H. Burial will follow in the Swampscott Cemetery, Swampscott, on Friday, Dec. 31, 2010 at noon.
