Evie F.'s Story
Evie F. Taft of Atkinson, New Hampshire passed away peacefully on Monday night, May 1, 2017, surrounded by loving family members. She was born March 7, 1945, in Greenport Long Island, New York. She was the daughter of Beatrice (Whaley) Silvrants and the late Elvin Moe.
She graduated from Laramie Senior High, Laramie, Wyoming in 1963. She worked as a personnel director for Rosebud Coal Sales Company in Hanna, Wyoming, moved to Colorado where she studied business management at Front Range Community College, and later received her BSBA degree in Business and Psychology from Regis University. She continued her travels in life to Atkinson, New Hampshire while carrying on her career and later retiring from the State of New Hampshire Liquor Commission. She loved Wyoming dearly, the outdoors, animals of all kinds, and was inspired to move to New Hampshire to be with the greatest love of her life, the late John H. Taft, who passed away on Evie’s 72nd birthday of this year.
She is survived by her loving twin sons, Joseph R. Hopkins of Guilford, Connecticut and James L. Hopkins and his wife, Misty of Epsom, New Hampshire; stepsons, Drew H. Taft and his wife, Theresa of Salem, New Hampshire and Bryce A. Taft and his wife, Kristin of Sandown, New Hampshire; grandchildren, Elijah, Emily, and Amanda Hopkins, Nolan, Samuel, Lucy, Lydia, and Lily Taft; brother, William J. Silvrants and his wife, Sareta of Laramie, Wyoming.
Evie was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother, who lived life to the the fullest. It was her kindness, caring, bravery, strength, compassion, and love of her family and friends that made her the extraordinary woman that we will always remember.

Evie wished to have a celebration of life to be shared with her best friend, John H. Taft, to be held at a later date.
