CHESTER, N.H. — Fred "Flip" Healey Jr., 79, died Friday, Sept. 10, 2010 at his home.
Born Dec. 17, 1930 in Manchester, N.H. to the late Carroll and Alice (Geanette) Healey. He lived most of his life in Derry and Londonderry and spent the last 48 years in Chester.
Flip enjoyed visiting with his friends around town in Chester and was an avid sports fan. He was especially fond of the New England sports teams and was a close follower of NASCAR and other circuits of auto racing.
Mr. Healey leaves his beloved wife of 49 years, Beverly (Jenkerson) Healey. He also leaves his loving children, Faith Rowell, Fred Healey III, Wayne Healey, Brian Healey, Lisa Haigler and Barbara Gallichant; his sister, Katherine Snow and his eight cherished grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
ARRANGEMENTS: The family received friends Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2010 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Peabody Funeral Home, 15 Birch St. Derry, N.H., with the funeral service at 8 p.m. Donations in memory of Flip may be directed to the American Heart Association, Hearts Gifts Processing Center, P.O.
