HAMPSTEAD, NH: Jeffrey B. Stearn, 72, of Hampstead, N.H., passed Tuesday, October 28, 2014, at Lahey Clinic of Burlington after a brief illness. He was born March 9, 1942 in Elizabeth, N.J. and was a son of the late Sydney and Helen (Callahan) Stearn. Jeffrey was raised and educated in Elizabeth and was a graduate of Springfield College in 1964.
Mr. Stearn proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp. and U.S Navy, during the Vietnam War. He was employed for 22 years as a technical liaison to travel agencies with Trans World Airlines. Jeffrey was also the current owner and operator of Hampstead Trophy Company. He was a member of VFW Post 11254 of Hampstead and will forever be remembered as the proud grandfather of three beloved grandchildren.
Members of the family include his wife of 40 years, Nancy J. (Berry) of Hampstead, his son and his wife, Michael and Lisa Stearn of Hampstead; his three cherished grandchildren, Anthony Silva-Napolitano, Gabriella Stearn and Thatcher Stearn and a brother, Gregory Stearn of New Jersey. He was predeceased by his sister, Judith Stearn in 1977.
After cremation, memorial calling hours were held Friday, October 31, 2014 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry, N.H., and concluded with Military Honors.
