EXETER — John Russell Randlett, 74, died suddenly Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010 at his home.
He was born Nov. 9, 1935 in Laconia, son of the late Clifton A. and Delia M. (Blake) Randlett.
John grew up in Laconia and Gilford. He served two enlistments in the United States Army in times of peace.
In 1962, he married Betty Moore and moved to Exeter, where he had resided in the same home for the past 48 years. John worked as a fork lift operator and retired after 32 years of employment at the Bailey Corp. in Seabrook.
In his retirement years, John enjoyed collecting diecast cars, Bass fishing and was a devoted husband, father and grandfather to his only granddaughter. He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Randlett of Exeter; two daughters, Linda Soucy of Newmarket, and Tracy Randlett of Exeter; one granddaughter, Kayla Soucy of Newmarket; two brothers, Frederick Randlett of Creswell, N.C., and Raymond Randlett of Newfields; one sister, Letha Odgers of Sacramento, Calif.; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his infant daughter, Penny Randlett.
