Epping, NH — Kathleen M. Wright, 73, of Epping, formerly of Kingston, died suddenly on Monday, Aug. 11, 2014, at the Exeter Hospital with her beloved husband, Clem and her devoted daughters, Chris and Candie, at her bedside.
She was born July 25, 1941 in Haverhill, a daughter of the late Ernest and Beatrice (Dusseault) Chapman.
Kathy was raised in Haverhill and graduated from Haverhill High with the class of 1959. She married the love of her life, Clement A. Wright in 1961 and the couple settled in Kingston to raise their family. Kathy was a special woman: she loved life and her passion for family was unsurpassed; her family was her world. She brought people together and was compassionate and caring, not just with her family, but with everyone she met. She loved Clem with every fiber of her body, was a loving and an extraordinary mother, a fantastic grandmother, a devoted sister and a dear friend. Kathy and her “Mama Hugs” will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She worked in the financial office for the Town of Hampton for 17 years and retired in 2005. Since her retirement, she held positions as head cashier at Lee Speedway and as an office assistant at Rejuvenations of Stratham. Kathy was an avid supporter and volunteer of Annie’s Angels, an organization dedicated to helping struggling families and also served as an officer with the “TOPS” organization in both Exeter and Epping.
In addition to her husband of 53 years, Clem Wright, of Epping, Kathy is survived by her daughters, Christine Goudin and husband, Steven of Raymond and Candra Wright of Newmarket; her brothers, Robert Chapman and wife, Joanne of Fiskdale, Mass., Daniel Chapman and wife, Mary Jo of Azle, Texas and Paul Chapman and wife, Sandra of Hudson; her sister-in-law, Betty-Ann Wright of East Hampstead; her grandchildren, Mallory, Kara and Joshua Goudin and her many nieces and nephews. She also leaves those special people who called her “Mom” and her many close and dear friends.
