Newton, NH — Laura L. (Hartford) Day, 79, of Newton, NH, died Sunday evening, March 16, at Kindred Hospital, Peabody.
She was born in Brentwood, NH, September 10, 1934, daughter of the late John and Georgia (O’Connor) Gerlek.
Her survivors include her husband of 54 years, Edward H. Day of Newton, NH; two daughters, Joanne Day of Newton, NH, Maria Mason and her husband, Gregory, of Plaistow, NH; a sister, Nancy Fournier of Lawrence; 11 grandchildren, Heidi Guide, Timothy Vincent, Amanda Roberts, Jennifer Vincent, Eric Vincent, Matthew Day, Rachel Day, Daniel Day, Joshua Sadler-Day, Katie Day and Caitlin Mason; nine great-grandchildren, Ryan, Alecsandra, Ashlie, Nikolas, Zakary, Madison, Colin, Jaxson and Evelyn; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Day was the mother of the late Richard C. Day who died in 2006, and was the sister of the late Leon Hartford and Dorothy Lassor.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her Funeral Service was held on Saturday morning, March 22, at 11 a.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. Calling hours at the Funeral Home were Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in the spring in Holy Angels Cemetery, Plaistow, NH.
