BRADFORD, MA: Maria Ann Schiavoni, 48, of Bradford, Mass., passed away peacefully in her sleep in late February 2015. She was born on Forbes Air Force Base in Topeka, Kan., to Airman 2nd Class James G. Schiavoni and Erma M. (Rodriguez) Schiavoni.
Maria was raised in Bradford and attended Haverhill Public Schools. In her early years, she was employed at Raytheon Corp. in food services in Andover, Mass. Later, she worked at several other companies in sales and as a courier.
Maria is survived by her sons, Corporal Matthew MacLeod USMC- ret. and his son, Jackson N. Major of New Hampshire, and Specialist William MacLeod III of Missouri; elder brother, James G. Schiavoni Jr. of Haverhill; younger brother, Matthew Schiavoni of Bradford; younger sister, Trina (Schiavoni) DeBenedetto and her husband, Mark DeBenedetto, Ph.D. of East Hampstead, N.H.; nieces, nephews and many cousins.
You, to me, epitomize a lighting bolt. Your spirit illuminated a room, your laughter and who you were to me was like the bolt that is the discharge of high energy from the action of the wind on the clouds in the air. You are etched in our hearts forever.
