Marjorie G. Haase, 83, died May 6, 2010, at her home, surrounded by her family.
She was born February 1, 1927, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, daughter of Alenor J. Gibson and Hazel G. Gibson.
Marjorie graduated from Oshkosh High School and Rosary College in River Forest Illinois. She received a Master of Arts degree in Library Science from Columbia University, New York. She also attended the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. She lived many years in Redding Conn., where she was a Real Estate Broker, also serving as president of the Real Estate Women’s guild in Danbury.
She is survived by three daughters; Carla Haase of Concord; Rochelle Berdeen of Brentwood and Camilla Bye (Nicholas) of Ballaret, Australia; and two granddaughters: Cheri Poire of Concord and India Bye of Australia. She is also survived by her brother Gifford Gibson (Ellen) of Woodruff Wisconsin, and her caregiver Maureen Hume.
She was pre-deceased by her parents Alenor and Hazel Gibson; her brothers Richard Gibson and Allen J. Gibson of Oshkosh Wisconsin, her sister Jane Bergstrom of Neenah, Wisconsin, and son in law Phillip Berdeen.
A memorial service was held May 14 at the Pilgrim United Church of Christ in Brentwood. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Rockingham Home Hospice Care.
