Norman's Story

East Kingston, NH — Norman P. Sansoucie, 77, died on March 3, 2014, at the Clipper Harbor Nursing Home in Portsmouth, NH. He was born on May 29, 1936, in Haverhill, MA, son of William and Albertine (Beauparlant) Sansoucie.

He served in the military for over 22 years (including a year-long tour in Asia during Vietnam) as an aircraft hydraulic specialist, retiring from the United States Air Force in 1980. Norman originally served in the U.S. Navy. His love of flight continued to grow and he eventually earned a private pilot's license. When he was no longer able to fly, he stayed connected to the industry by delivering aviation fuel to Boston's Logan Airport.

Norman was preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Lynn Whaley and son, Keith Eric Sansoucie, both recently deceased and both from Athol, MA. He is survived by his wife, Diana Sansoucie of East Kingston, NH and sons, Kenneth Steven Sansoucie of Meridian, ID and Scott Jeffery Sansoucie of Boise, ID.
