Olive's Story

KINGSTON, NH: Olive (Papineau) Moriarty, died on February 24, 2015, at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill. She was born on May 20, 1927 in Pawtucket, R.I., the daughter of the late Henry A. and Eva (Cartier) Papineau.

Olive was the wife of the late Leo J. Moriarty, who died in 2003, and had been a resident of Kingston, N.H. since 1960. She was treasurer of the town of Kingston for 30 years and was formerly employed as the bookkeeper for Spaulding and Frost in Fremont, N.H.

She leaves behind two daughters, Pamela Moriarty of Manchester, N.H. and Paula Moriarty of Kingston, N.H.; two granddaughters, Erin Fuller and Olivia Bonilla; two great-grandchildren, Saija and Elijah; two sisters, Claire Moretti of Cranston, R.I. and Jupiter, Fla., and Pauline Koch of Severna Park, Md. and Marco Island, FL; along with several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours were held on Sunday, March 1, 2015, from 2 to 5 p.m. with a Prayer Service held at 3 p.m., at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter, N.H. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Kingston, N.H. in the spring. For more information, please visit www.brewittfuneralhome.com.
