Philip L. Emilio Jr., 63, died April 9, 2010.
He was born in Exeter, New Hampshire to Betty and the late Philip L. Emilio Sr., on June 11, 1946. He had resided in Danville for the past 52 years, graduating from Sanborn Seminary in 1964, and NH Vocational Institute in 1968. He was an avid reader and collector of antiques. He had broad interests, understanding and a unique sense of humor.
He was also a member of the Salem Marine Society, The Village Improvement and Little Red School House Historical Society of North Danville, and the Union Religious Society.
He enjoyed fine woodworking, yard sales, flea markets and restoration of antique vehicles, vintage carting, stock car and other forms of racing.
Family members include his wife of 34 years, Dotty S. Emilio of Kingston; a son, Philip L. Emilio III of Danville; his mother, Betty M. Emilio of Hampton Falls; a sister, Marcia K. Gagne of Hampstead; a brother, Gary V. Emilio of Kensington, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Memorial Service will be held for family and close friends on Sat., May 22, at 1:00 p.m., at the Union Church in North Danville, located on Beach Plain Road. Interment will be held in the Harmony Grove Cemetery in Salem, MA, at a later date. Brewitt Funeral Home, Exeter, is handling the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Union Church to support the church organ fund, care of Robert Griffin, 135 Beach Plain Rd., Danville, NH 03819.
