Robert J. "Maz" Mazalewski

July 19, 1954 - November 27, 2017

It is with the deepest sadness that I must inform you that my beloved husband passed away on Monday, Nov. 27, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. Maz and I grew up together in Salem, N.H. We were high school sweethearts and stars aligned for us to get married in 1977. We raised our amazing children in Sandown. Maz was an accomplished businessman and loving family man. He was charismatic, authentic and showed generosity to all. His charm and humor were undeniable, and he made friends wherever he went. Maz had a true love for sports and was a natural born athlete with a passion for golf. His remarkable life was an inspiration to us all, and he will be forever loved and missed. He spent a joyous final year in the Washington, D.C. area. Maz is survived by his wife, Kristine; daughter, Jan and her husband, Leif Springer; granddaughters, Savannah and Sasha; son, Peter and his wife, Emily Mazalewski; granddaughter, Vivienne; mother, Shirley Mazalewski; sister, Sandy and husband, Jim Galle, and their children, Allison Begley and Evan Galle; brother, Steve and his wife, Joyce Mazalewski, and their children, Jeff Mazalewski, Danielle Filer and Breanna Hutson; sister-in-law, Mary and husband, Leo Plourde; nieces, Catherine Loughlin and Elizabeth Young; sister-in-law, Kathy and husband, Bill Whiting; as well as numerous grand nieces and nephews and countless friends.
Memorial Mass at St. Joseph & Mary's Church, 40 Main St., Salem, NH, 03079, on Saturday, Dec. 2, 11:30 a.m., followed by a celebration at Atkinson Country Club, 80 Country Club Drive, Atkinson, NH 03811. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to NH D.A.R.E. in care of NH State Police.

Oh, the stories I could tell about our exploits - but most will, fortunately, be just discussed in low voices in dark corners away from a new generation who never would, or could, understand how "wild" we really were - at age 15. My sincere condolences go out to Kris and the family. He was a talented athlete, great card player, and an honorable man - one I am proud to have called my "best friend." Rest in peace.

I am so sorry to hear about Maz's passing. My deepest condolences to you and your family. I haven't seen Maz since high school but he was a terrific guy and had many, many friends as you know. I remember him very well. I am living in California now so wont be able to attend the services but wanted you to know that I have great memories of Maz (as do many of us Salemites...).

I'm very saddened to learn of your loss. Death is something very hard to deal with, and regardless of what we believe happens after death it still causes us much pain.
I hope the words from these scriptures can bring you some comfort.  Rev 21:3,4... there Jehovah God promise to bring an end to dearth.
