KINGSTON, NH: Sylvia P. Coombs, 78, passed away on April 9, 2015 at home, surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Amesbury on September 4, 1936, to the late Robert and Bertha Bragg, she lived in Amesbury for many years where she attended school and later worked for the Town of Amesbury in the school department and the former Amesbury Hospital while raising her three sons after the death of her husband in 1970 and later moved to Kingston, N.H.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was loved by all who knew her and will be dearly missed.
Sylvia was predeceased by her husband, Howard R. Coombs and two sons, Howard (Howie) Coombs in 2014 and Richard (Ricky) Coombs in 1992.
Members of her family include her son, Timothy Coombs and his wife, Lisa of Kingston, N.H.; her daughter-in-law, Sheila Coombs of Fremont, N.H.; three grandchildren, Karlyn and Dylan Coombs of Kingston and Matthew Coombs of Fremont; her brothers, Robert Bragg of Kingston, Richard Bragg of Reading, Mich., Walter Bragg of East Ryegate, Vt.; a sister, Pearl Reynolds of Exeter and several dear nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Graveside services were private.
